The management team of MARKETING PLUS has more than 80 years of combined experience in the telemarketing industry, having represented an extremely diversified roster of client organizations.
Monty Cerasani – President/CEO, has 25 years experience in the telemarketing business. During all those years Monty was hands-on, going from working as a telemarketer to moving his way up to a manager responsible for five call centers marketing The Newhouse Publications in New Jersey and New York.
With the help and mentoring from Ron Taylor, who had a long and successful career in newspaper promotion with The Chicago Tribune, The Star Ledger and The Los Angeles Herald Examiner, Monty soon became a Senior Marketing Executive with extensive experience managing Teleservices, Client Services, Operations, Sales & Marketing and Legal Compliance for call centers, which ultimately lead him to form and launch his own direct marketing company.
In 1993, Monty formed Marketing Plus Inc. (MPI), and having had many years in the business of newspaper promotion, immediately secured several prime accounts to launch his new company. Since starting Marketing Plus Inc., Monty has developed many loyal clients in New York – New Jersey metropolitan area which include The New York Daily News and many Gannett Publications in different states and nationally with USA Today.
Susan Taylor – General Manager, has 40 years experience in finance and accounting for a broad range of diverse industries from telecommunication to telemarketing. Sue is a strategic thinker with a well balanced background and keen management skills. While attending Middlesex County College, taking accounting courses to further her career, she worked at the New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. in their divisional payment collection center, balancing cash daily.
With her new accounting knowledge she was able to advance her career and work with other firms performing accounting and payroll duties. Advancing rapidly, Sue then supervised a large accounts payable department at a major sprinkler manufacturer, then moving on to the position of office manager at a large composite manufacturing company for many years.
Sue became involved in the telemarketing industry when she met her husband, the late Ron Taylor. Ron’s experience in the newspaper promotion industry was a long and successful one, beginning with The Chicago Tribune, The Star Ledger (New Jersey), The Los Angeles Herald Examiner, and finally here at Marketing Plus Inc.
Sue is the backbone of the accounting department, establishing bookkeeping and payroll procedures, keeping up to date on all tax laws and requirements. Additionally, she is well versed technically and certified in the workings of our TeleDirect Liberation® System, enabling her to interact with our clients on that level.
John Lederer – VP of Business Development, is a direct marketing professional with over 30 years in the marketing and advertising industry. John’s most notable success has been in business to business teleservices, taking a start up company and then making it profitable in its first year. His strength lies in establishing new client relationships strategic planning for launching new campaigns, management/consulting and providing profitable sales results without compromising the integrity and focus of client.
He is driven and a creative thinker who uses outstanding analytic and interpersonal skills to always get results and exceed the goals he sets for himself and his team. His experience ranges from start up companies to the Fortune 1000, including clients such as BMG, Sears, AOL, Yahoo, Google, Gannett, and many more.
Karen Marov – HR Manager, has her B.A. in English/Education from C.W. Post College, Long Island University. With her education, background and 25 years of experience with Gannett Company, Inc., Karen has brought a broad range of skills to the Marketing Plus management team. She also received the Publisher’s Award of Excellence three times for her performance and accomplishments – strong evidence that she produced a tangible and positive impact on the company.
Karen’s strengths are maximizing administrative efficiencies by establishing effective systems and procedures. As a mentor and liaison between sales staff and management, Karen takes a very hands-on approach to all training, motivation and coaching.
John Saparito – Office Manager, has had a long telemarketing career beginning with the Courier News in Bridgewater, New Jersey. He quickly rose to the top after achieving telemarketer of the month nine times, six times consecutively. He was promoted to senior sales representative, where his responsibilities were verifying new starts and assisting the supervisor in training of new hires. John then was promoted to full time Supervisor, where his responsibilities included hiring new telemarketing representatives, training, promotions, contests, and motivation.
John came to Marketing Plus Inc. in 1997 as an assistant supervisor for our evening shift, he assisted in supervising shifts and verifying orders. In 1998 he was promoted to full time Office Manager, where he is an excellent motivator and team leader! He has a training office along with a full library of training tools, to ensure that our telephone sales representatives are trained in complete telephone mannerisms, and are trained to be polite and courteous.
John is an excellent leader with excellent people skills enabling him to achieve the sales goals Marketing Plus Inc. has for our many clients.
Phil Lyman – IT Manager, an information technology specialist with degrees from New Jersey Institute of Technology and Middlesex County College, his specialty is database design and integration with a focus on research and analysis of information and best practices for call center environments. Previously, as a Team Leader, he designed and integrated database and inventory for warehouse and supply chain for the aftermarket auto parts industry.
Phil’s strengths include database management, maximizing call center efficiency, sales lead acquisition, problem solving and ensuring customer satisfaction.
